On January 20th and 21st (that's a Saturday and Sunday!) we will be having a two day event, Bernina Academy, with sewing techniques, stitching, hemming and more! This event is open to all sewers! Everyone is welcome to attend. Get ready to learn lots in the all new Bernina Academy event where you will learn how to tackle those hard to sew materials, such as minky, silk, cork, leather, fur and much more! Over the course of two days you will learn over 10 techniques for sewing with 20 different fabrics as well as create a technique book filled with fabrics, stitching and techniques. After attending, you will be equipped to tackle those projects using challenging fabrics!
Shelly Fitzgerald will be the educator at our event. Shelly is a Bernina educator who has been sewing since she was a small child. She was taught by her mom and by junior high, she was sewing her own clothes! She is experienced teaching mastery classes for all Bernina sewing and embroidery machines, sergers and software. We are very excited to learn sewing techniques from Shelly!
We will be hosting this event at the all NEW Missoula College in their state of the art conference center. The event fee will be $99, which includes two days of class (from 9:30am to 4pm), a delicious lunch both days, your kit and technique book, and free gifts! Over the course of these two days, we will also be offering special pricing on threads, machines, software and designs. Doors will open at 8:30am for breakfast and sewing will begin promptly at 9:30am. This event is open to all sewists, you don't have to own a Bernina to attend, as there will be machines provided for everyone to use! You also don't have to be an experienced sewist to attend, all experience levels are welcomed! THIS EVENT IS FILLED.
